Survival Swimming and Drowning Prevention
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Make A SplashSwim for Life Vietnam was born out of a dire need to address Vietnam’s high drowning rates for children.
Initiated in 2014 by the Golden West Humanitarian Foundation, the program seeks to empower communities in Quang Binh and Quang Tri Provinces by teaching survival swimming and drowning prevention to school-aged children.
Through the generosity of donors, the program has already made significant strides, saving lives and raising awareness.
Sustained support is essential to expand this life-saving initiative to other vulnerable regions, ensuring more children can learn essential water safety skills and prevent drownings.

Conducting survival swimming training for school-aged children.
Equipped with certification from both the internationally recognized AUSTSWIM training, and our own national Swim Vietnam training, our instructors adeptly impart survival swimming skills and basic stroke development to children. Upon course completion, students demonstrate the ability to swim 25 meters independently, tread water for 2 minutes, and acquire comprehensive water safety and rescue proficiency

Enhancing water safety education and community awareness
Despite the gravity of drowning as a public health concern in Vietnam, widespread awareness of its magnitude remains elusive. This motivates our efforts to extend beyond direct intervention to advocate for and conduct comprehensive community awareness programs. Through media like local television and radio, we disseminate crucial information about drowning risks and preventive measures, endeavouring to save lives through education and awareness
