While there are many successes to celebrate in the first years of the Swim for Life Program, we are also pursuing strategies to increase our impact and save the lives of more children in Vietnam. In the coming years we are planning to increase our collaboration with other INGO's working in Vietnam to increase our impact. Additionally, we will enhance our drowning prevention efforts by continuing to implement our classroom-based water safety and rescue education program. We invite you to join us in this critical cause by contributing to one or more of the programs discussed below.

Capital Needs

A donation of $30,000 supports the purchase of and three years of maintenance/operation for a 10-by-5-meter above-ground pool. For $10,000, you can support the construction of a new pool house, changing room, showers, and maintenance for three years.

Program Needs

Operational Costs: 
• $818: Water Safety Education and skills competition for one school
• $1,000: Public Water Safety and education materials (banners, leaflets, handouts, safety demonstration equipment)
• $3,120: Funds three years of maintenance for one pool (chemicals, electricity, water)

Instructor Costs: 
• $154: Supports the training cost of a new swimming instructor
• $530: Pays the average instructor salary for one season
• $720: Funds supervisor salary and pool maintenance for one season

Children:
• $132: Sponsors a class of six children to complete the program
