Yen Dang
Yen Dang, S4L program officer comes to Golden West with 15 years of professional experience working in the NGO and international NGO space, most recently as a provincial planning specialist with Plan International. Yen is a strong advocate for children’s rights and has worked to empower local authorities to meet the needs of the underserved. Through her work in social economic planning at the city, district, and provincial levels, she brings with her a vast local network. Yen holds a B.A. in Foreign Languages from Hue University, an M.A. in Social Development from Philippine Women’s University in Manila, and an International Community Development Workers certificate from the Asian Social Institute. Having two young children of her own, Yen has a passion for this work and realizes the importance of survival swimming and the positive impacts this training brings to her community. |
Nga Tran
Nga Tran joined Golden West in March 2016 as the Program Manager for the Children's Education Program. Her position includes leading the Swim For Life Vietnam and volunteer programs in Quang Binh Province. She spent the last nine years with the Australian Volunteers International NGO based in Vietnam, successfully managing the Australian Volunteers for International Development program. She has a Bachelor of International Law from Hanoi Law University. Her 15 years of professional experience with international organizations have provided Nga with relevant knowledge and a perfect fit to manage our education programs in Vietnam. |
Beth Kreitl
Beth Kreitl is passionate about empowering communities through education and training. In her role as a Golden West volunteer, she supports the sustainability and expansion of the Swim for Life program with the local team. Beth is also creating a Mindfulness Yoga for Empowerment program for the Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, a Quang Binh NGO. She also offers career education programs for the students of Quang Binh University. She earned her B.A. in French and International Business and her M.S./Ed.S. in School and Counseling Psychology. |
Kevin Espirito
Kevin Espirito began his love for teaching water safety 27 years ago. He holds current American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instruction. He brings his passion and enthusiasm for providing education and opportunities to marginalized populations. For more than 16 years, Kevin has held various management and leadership roles at Microsoft. The last six years were spent leading the employee giving and volunteer programs, raising over $600 million for global charities. In his role as a Golden West volunteer consultant, he supports the sustainability and expansion of the Swim for Life program, helping to build the fundraising infrastructure and future program plans. |
