Hong Nhung (Boo-la) is a graduate of Vo Nguyen Giap Gifted High School. Her main interests are education and human rights. With a great empathy for disadvantaged people in society, she intends to participate in many other voluntary projects. She is working hard to gain diverse job experiences and knowledge so she can apply for an U.S undergraduate scholarship. Her personal near-drowning experience at Nhat Le beach and the drowning deaths of many children in her neighborhood motivated her to join the Swim for Life project.
Hanh Hoang (Su) is a student from Vo Nguyen Giap Gifted High School majoring in English. Besides excellent academic achievements, she also takes part in many extracurricular activities, most recently as one of the founding members of the Humans of Đồng Hới Facebook page. She has a great passion and interest in tourism and seeks life experience through social activities to enrich her understanding and raise community awareness about where she lives. Having read heartbreaking newspaper stories about students losing their lives through drowning, she realized the urgent need for preventing these deaths and the serious consequences they cause to the local community as well as to her family and friends.
Khanh Linh attends VNG gifted high school and is in grade 12. He loves studying Khanh Linh would like to lead his own company as CEO. He has a desire to always contribute to his local community, currently Dong Hoi city. When Khanh Linh learned about the Swim for Life project, he decided to volunteer as his friend's sibling drown. He believes Swim for Life is a practical and helpful program to teach children to protect themselves.

Olympia Lai Olympia [Last name] received her B.A. in Romance Linguistics and Spanish from the University of Washington in 2016. Her career interests include research, teaching, and translation.
In her own words: "Growing up, I was continuously near the water, as I spent most of my childhood in it, having swam competitively between the ages of 6 and 15, as well as having worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for my local YMCA. Consequently, although I have long regarded drowning prevention work as necessary and vital to every community, Swim for Life Vietnam has exponentially increased that passion, as it not only targets a community of especially high need, but additionally is an opportunity to increase global awareness regarding related issues."
